Precautions and Interactions.
Patients who have experienced an allergic reaction to Zithromax or other similar medications like clarithromycin or erythromycin, as well as patients who have the following health conditions must initially notify their physician before taking Zithromax:
- Liver and kidney disorders.
- A heart disease.
- A condition called Long QT syndrome.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women are also advised to do likewise before taking on the medication. Zithromax may have an adverse effect on the health of the unborn or breastfed baby. A number of medications may interact with the potency of Zithromax, including, but not limited to, antacids, magnesium salts, digoxin, triazolam, and warfarin.
Missed Dose.
